What are the solutions?

Dr. Agosta offers state-of-the-art diagnostics, including on-site painless bladder testing to diagnose your bladder problems. And he completely examines your bladder and surrounding organs to ensure that there are no other problems.

He also offers the most advanced treatments available, including many types of minimally invasive surgery. If surgery is called for, it can often be performed with less pain and faster recovery time as an outpatient procedure. Some examples are:

  • Tension-free vaginal tape (TVT) Sling – A highly effective outpatient procedure that supports the urethra with tension-free mesh tape placed just above the pubic bone to treat stress incontinence.
  • Transobturator tension (TOT) sling – This advanced sling also supports the urethra and is placed through the crease of the thigh.
  • Vaginal vault suspension – Vaginal vault (top of the vagina) prolapse may occur after a hysterectomy or alongside other pelvic floor defects. Advanced techniques, either alone or in conjunction with another procedure, are used to correct this type of prolapse.
  • Graft augmentation – A synthetic graft can be used to strengthen weakened natural tissue in order to reinforce or augment the repair of a vaginal bulge.
  • Laparoscopic prolapse surgeries – Laparoscopic techniques allow for smaller incisions and therefore a faster recovery than with traditional surgery.
